Our sustainability goals
Grieghallen’s green future plans
Reduce energy consumption
by 25% by 2025
Comply with the Eco-Lighthouse
criteria for Green Conferences and Performing Arts by 2025
Increase recycling and sorting
at source to over 60% by 2025
Grieghallen has decided to focus on two of the UN Sustainability Development Goals. We believe that these goals will have the greatest impact on people, environment and profitability within the framework of our social responsibility.
Goal 12:
Responsible consumption and production
This sustainability goal is about ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns. At Grieghallen, we will take social responsibility through more and improved sustainable measures. We will avoid over-consumption in all parts of our operations and we will work continuously to make Grieghallen a more environmentally friendly building.
Goal 17:
Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development
Grieghallen’s organization follows a LEAN structure . One of our strategic choices is to hire the labor we need for all our activities. We have outsourced catering, food and drink, technicians, security and rigging. We depend on good cooperation with our partners and suppliers to fulfil our goals. We will also collaborate with other actors in the Bergen region to find sustainable solutions together.
