1. Purpose
As an employee of Grieg Hall, you should always try to exercise good judgment, caution and consideration in your work for the company. This document provides a framework that will help employees in the Grieg Hall act in accordance with the guidelines, but is not comprehensive in all areas. Grieg Hall will be responsive to proposals and initiatives that can improve our ethical guidelines.
2. Responsibility and scope
In this context, employee also means temporary employees and employees of subcontractors to the Grieg Hall. These guidelines apply to anyone who performs work in or on behalf of the Grieg Hall.
You should never encourage anyone to break these rules, even if a deviation from the rules at the moment seems to be in the company's interest. If you are unsure whether an activity is legal or ethically sound, you should - as far as possible - discuss the issue with your immediate superior.
3. Equality and diversity
Grieg Hall expects employees to treat everyone they come in contact with through their work with courtesy and respect. We must show respect for all people, and work actively to ensure a good environment that is characterized by equality and diversity.
We do not accept any form of discrimination based on gender, religion, race, national or ethnic origin, cultural background, disability, sexual orientation, age or political opinion.
Grieg Hall does not accept any form of harassment, discrimination or other conduct that may be perceived as threatening or derogatory by colleagues, visitors or business associates.
4. Gifts, services and hospitality
There is no need for gifts or services to do business with the Grieg Hall. Gifts, services, travel, accommodation or entertainment are accepted if they constitute a limited value and reasonably contribute to the business relationship. All such matters shall be presented to the immediate superior.
The same principle also applies the opposite way, ie employees who act on behalf of the Grieg Hall in their contact with customers, suppliers and other parties can not offer or pay for gifts, services or hospitality that will violate these principles.
5. Corruption and financial fraud
It must be made clear in all contexts that Grieg Hall's employees and others who perform tasks on behalf of Grieg Hall do not allow themselves to be influenced by gifts, allowances, contact networks or any kind of bribery to take certain positions or perform special actions. The opposite also applies in that similar benefits will not be offered to Grieg Hall's business associates.
Employees and others who perform tasks on behalf of the Grieg Hall must organize their actions so that they comply with the legislation, including the provisions of the Criminal Code on fraud, corruption, trafficking in influence and infidelity. Grieg Hall's business associates are expected to follow ethical guidelines that comply with Grieg Hall's ethical standards.
6. Conflict of interest and impartiality
Grieg Hall expects openness and loyalty to the company. As an employee, you should not let your own personal interests influence your work or let personal gain come before your work. You should also never take part in, or try to influence a decision or decision if there is a conflict of interest or other circumstances that may weaken confidence in independence. In the event of a conflict of interest, you must, on your own initiative, inform the superior about incapacity or conflict of interest.
You should avoid having private investments in companies that can directly or indirectly affect your loyalty to the Grieg Hall. Questions of doubt are directed to the immediate superior.
7. Environment
Grieg Hall will seek to implement measures that reduce pollution and other environmental impacts.
8. Responsibility for common values
Employees must protect Grieg Hall's property and assets against loss, damage and misuse. Use of Grieg Hall's working hours, place of work, materials or finances for purposes other than Grieg Hall's business shall not occur without the approval of the immediate superior.
All employees have a joint responsibility to protect and live up to Grieg Hall's reputation and values and to safeguard customers and business associates in a responsible manner in line with these guidelines.
9. Loyalty and confidentiality
As an employee of Grieg Hall, you are responsible for ensuring that the necessary documentation about the company's business and business partners is secured and correct. Grieg Hall is open in its stores while respecting customers 'and suppliers' needs for confidentiality. Information beyond general business knowledge that employees become familiar with through their work in the Grieg Hall shall be treated in a responsible manner.
10. Enforcement of laws and regulations
Employees and others who perform tasks on behalf of the Grieg Hall must comply with applicable laws and regulations in their work. Accounts, annual report and other reports shall be in accordance with rules and orders issued by public authorities.
11. Information and media contact
All information from Grieg Hall must be compliant and correct.
To ensure coordinated information and contact with external parties, all inquiries from the press should be directed to the CEO. In individual cases, the CEO may delegate contact with the press to other employees.
12. Notification in case of objectionable conditions
Concerns in relation to compliance with these guidelines or in relation to matters worthy of criticism in the company can be reported through several channels. The easiest way is to go to the nearest manager. If the employee does not receive the desired response or for other reasons does not want to go to his or her immediate manager, the CEO or the chairman of the board can be notified, see separate procedure for proper notification.
It is desirable that concerns be addressed at an early stage. The longer you wait, the worse the situation can become and the more difficult it can be to solve the problem.
